Dwight Turner, 50, has undergone two surgical procedures since being attacked by the animal on August 31, his spouse Natushka Turner stated in a sworn written assertion to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fee (FWC).

Dwight Turner and the leopard’s proprietor, Michael Poggi, 54, organized for him to “play with it, rub its stomach and take footage” on Poggi’s property in Davie, FWC stated in a captive wildfire report.

After Poggi unlocked the leopard’s cage, Dwight Turner entered and sat on a bench inside when the leopard “growled and attacked Mr. Turner biting him on the top and ear,” stated the FWC report.

“Mr. Turner sustained accidents to the appropriate aspect of his head and proper ear. Mrs. Turner said that she needed to place a part of Mr. Turner’s scalp again in place as a result of it was hanging from his head and his proper ear was torn in half,” the FWC stated.

Poggi was issued two misdemeanor citations for permitting full contact with a particularly harmful animal and with sustaining captive wildlife in an unsafe situation inflicting in depth harm, in response to FWC.

CNN has made a number of makes an attempt to achieve Poggi with out success. It’s unclear whether or not he has a lawyer.

His Zoom listening to is scheduled for December 2, in response to Broward County court docket paperwork.

Poggi admitted to FWC investigators that he knew what he did was unlawful and answered questions, however wouldn’t present a written assertion, the FWC report stated.

On his private Fb web page, Poggi stated he is “an Unique Animal Breeder of uncommon or endangered species and has rescued 1000’s of unique animals over the previous 35 years.”

A Fb web page known as “Poggi’s Animal Home,” claiming to be for an animal sanctuary, has been deactivated.
