A Greenville girl is in custody and charged with shoplifting stemming from a felony buying journey final weekend in Vicksburg.
In line with the Vicksburg Police Division, Valerie Morris, 59, of Greenville, was arrested Friday on a warrant of felony shoplifting. She is charged in connection to the theft of eight HOBO wallets, every valued at $125, from The Cinnamon Tree on Dec. 11.
Throughout her preliminary courtroom look Friday, Choose Penny Lawson set Morris’ bond at $15,000 and certain her case over to the grand jury.
In a video that was shared extensively on social media, Morris is seen with a person lifting the wallets from their show and putting them in her purse. The person within the video, who was not recognized by police, has not been charged right now for any involvement within the theft.
